derp! so I remembered i had this blog that I started and never got back to. the only reason I remembered is because I was talking to a friend about starting another one.
SO,
here goes.
I stopped working at that company and now work for another one.
The new one started as an internship but as of feb 15 of this year I am an official employee.
My title is Network Systems Administrator.
First the brand names
Servers:

- Netgear prosumer grade APs (work well enough)
My work issued laptop
Lenovo T410s with 4G ram and 128G SSD harddrive
runs windows 7 pro 64bit
Comes with evdo cell modem for on the go work.
Tools used.
- Monitoring Servers is done via Hobbit/Xymon (not sure which is the current name yet)
- Putty (If you dont know what this is for I cry)
- Pidgen (not the most amazing of clients but it works great for my needs for the internal IRC client we use)
- Email is done via Outlook( it works)
- TeamSpeak for Morning Handoff Meetings and general coordination discussions.
I have a few more posts to come regarding some of the minor but great tools and things that I have learned.
